Worship is the central part of our fellowship.
Lakeside United Methodist Church provides opportunities for spiritual
renewal, learning of the Word of God, and ministry by all our members.
We offer three worship services on Sunday morning to meet the needs
of our members and our community. The Hispanic worship service is
delivered by Mi Casa Ministry on Thursday nights.
The 8:30
Chapel Worship service is traditional in nature, but on a
smaller scale. The worship time meets the needs of those who are "early"
risers. The sermon is delivered by the Senior Pastor. The Music Director
leads the congregation in singing the hymns.
The 10:50
Sanctuary Worship is a traditional United Methodist service.
The Organist and Chancel Choir lead the congregation in singing the
Hymns of Adoration, Preparation and Commitment. Holy Communion is
celebrated the first Sunday of each month.
Children
are encouraged to participate in this worship service. Those in 3rd
through 6th grades serve as acolytes. Every Sunday, time is set aside
for a special message to the children. A nursery is provided for infants
and toddlers.
The Hispanic
Worship service is held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday night in
the Chapel. The Mi Casa Ministry provides this service to aid the
growing Hispanic population in our community on their journey towards
claiming Christ as their Lord and Savior.
